How long does the adoption process take?
The timeline varies by shelter, but expect an average of 1 to 3 weeks between submitting your application and the actual adoption. Some shelters require a mandatory reflection period. This delay ensures the adoption is carefully considered.
How much does adoption cost?
Adoption fees range from €150 to €350 depending on the animal and shelter. This amount generally covers identification (microchip), sterilization, up-to-date vaccinations, deworming and sometimes a full health check. It's well below the actual cost of the care provided.
What are the conditions for adopting?
